When you hear the word Lucky Strike you most likely associate it with America. Also known as Luckies it was the most popular cigarette in the 30's. The company is owned by R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and British American Tobacco group. In the early days they had a different color than white. They have changed it in 1942 because they started advertising it to women and the old colors weren’t attractive enough. As a good twist they have marketed the new color change as helping the war effort by giving up copper. Lucky Strike is known to sponsor events and shows, like comedy and the hit series Mad Men.
